Dr. Lauren Doughty-McDonald joined the Dermatology Clinic of Iowa in October, 2012. Prior to that she practiced in Wisconsin at ProHealth Care Medical Associates. Dr. Doughty was raised in central Illinois and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She then hopped over a state and attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. This has left her forever conflicted during Illinois-Iowa sporting events. She completed her dermatology residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Dr. Doughty practices general medical and surgical dermatology and is delighted to see patients of all ages. When not at work, Dr. Doughty and her husband, Dr. Josh McDonald, are busy raising three daughters. Dr. Doughty is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

We have been taking care of patients in the community since 1982. Owned by Dr. David Knutson and Dr. Caroline Morris, our clinic is the only dermatology practice in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that has 100% local ownership. We serve Eastern Iowa from our main office as well as our clinic in Manchester. All of our providers are licensed and certified. We look forward to seeing you and earning your trust.
