Lipomas

A lipoma is a common, benign fatty tissue growth that develops beneath the skin. Often referred to as a fatty tumor, a lipoma typically feels soft, rubbery, and movable when touched. Lipomas can occur almost anywhere on the body but are most commonly found on the neck, shoulders, back, arms, or thighs.

Most lipomas grow slowly over time and do not cause symptoms. While they are generally harmless and do not require treatment, some lipomas may become uncomfortable, enlarge over time, or cause cosmetic concerns.

Because other soft tissue growths can sometimes resemble a lipoma, proper evaluation is important to confirm the diagnosis.

Treatment Options: Observation or surgical removal.

Our team will carefully evaluate each lipoma and recommend the most appropriate approach based on size, symptoms, and your individual concerns.
