People with rosacea have sensitive skin and are prone to flushing and facial redness. They may also develop acne-like bumps. Over time, it can cause tiny blood vessels (telangiectasia) to develop on the face. A rare complication of rosacea is overgrowth of the nasal tissue resulting in enlargement of the nose (rhinophyma). It can also often cause red itchy eyes and swollen eyelids (ocular rosacea).
Treatment: gentle cleansers and lotions (over-the-counter), creams (prescription) and antibiotics
